ROLE INFORMATION

The Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office promotes British interests overseas, supporting our citizens and businesses around the globe. The FCO run the Travel Aware campaign, an ongoing initiative to make sure that Brits are well prepared for their travels and stay safe abroad.

As the FCO’s student representative on your campus, you will be tasked with raising awareness of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s Travel Aware campaign. In order to achieve this you will:

• Write and publish interesting and relevant articles/content around the Travel Aware message
• Organise and run events that help to communicate foreign travel advice to student
• Promote the message in creative ways via your social media platforms

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Confident, resourceful and organised
• Have an interest in travel and foreign politics
• Have connections with student media outlets: newspaper, magazine, radio and TV
• Have some journalistic outlet e.g. write for the student newspaper, or Tab
• Active on social media
• Must be a full-time student.
