What 5 things would you need if you were stranded on a desert island and why?

iPod, can’t go without the music for longer than a few hours.

Phone, gotta keep in touch even in unusual situations.

Angelina Jolie, or a poster at least, she is the love of my life.

A football, plenty of time to practice my kick ups.

A rubber boat with paddle, as something to sleep/relax in obviously.

Favourite film and why?

Wanted. Good film, fantastic choice of lead actress.

Favourite music?

A lot of everything excluding very heavy rock. Favourite song: I’ll bring you flowers by Sweet Female Attitude, from back in the day.

Tell us a joke.

What do you call a donkey with 3 legs?

A Wonkey.

Tell us an embarrassing story…

I went on holiday to Tenerife with some mates this year. It was a great trip, thought I was even tanning a bit, even though we didn’t see much daylight. Got regular compliments on my tan, so hastily invested in some aftersun lotion to maintain it as long as possible. Got home, the compliments continued. Eventually the compliments turned into questions as to why I was actually looking a little orange. The moral of the story is, don’t purchase aftersun hastily; always take time to read the cover. Turns out my tan was all a lie and to my disgust, I found some small print on the aftersun bottle which bluntly read “contains a hint of self tan”. Jokes and laughs for everyone. Bad times for Jan.

Tell us a secret…

I think Angelina Jolie is very good looking.

What does the last text message you received?

“See u later babessss x”

Favourite part of being a student?

Cinema discounts, drink discounts and freedom to do whatever, whenever.

Why did you choose your uni?

It has everything I want in a uni and a great mix of all types of people from everywhere in the UK, as well as some very far away countries.

What are your future dreams and aspirations?

I want to finish with a strong degree from university and then I want to go into Investment Banking. It’s a career path I’ve been aiming for since I chose to study Economics and I hope to take part in a summer internship at a top bank next summer, before taking on a full time role after university. However, I am planning to consider a postgraduate course, depending on how I find my final year at university.
